This morning, after reading the response I have had to a post in Twitter, I’ve decided to respectfully address @Luwhart who I note is a Patreon patron and Artstation advocate.

Those who know of my work will attest to the torture of 10 years composing a PhD thesis on the topic of body worn computing and the ethical implications not only for society, rather (as it evolved to be), the catastrophe for human culture especially First Nations communities.

The fact is, I was harangued two decades prior as to why I had an investment in computing and what was the point of a website I built in 1995 in HTML. Likewise at the turn of the century why was I talking of an ‘always on curriculum’ where students were likely to be arriving at educational engagement through the mobile phone they would all have in their hands, I was duly dismissed.

The very same criticisms arose when organising and hosting the IEEE ISTAS 13 Symposium with the worlds leading cyborgs in Toronto, Canada.
